Also, if a liquid spills onto the floor and your computer case is nearby, it could get wet and ruin the internal components. In short, placing your computer case on the floor is a bad idea for many reasons.
Why is it not a good idea to keep burning out your computer
Putting your computer case on the floor is not a good idea because you are putting constant stress on the internal components of the computer. Constant strain and stress on the motherboard, CPU, graphics card, and other components can burn out these components over time. Also, if your computer falls on the floor, it could damage the inside components or even take out the entire motherboard.
What other ways can you use your computer furniture
If your computer desk is folding up, there are other ways to use it or even just place your monitor on an elevated surface. You could also try standing your computer up on end with the screen facing out and the keyboard and mouse at the back. You could create a makeshift TV stand by stacking several boxes together and placing your television on top. If you have an extra chair, you could place your computer on it horizontally. Just be sure to keep cords organized and sheltered so they don't get tangled.
